I have always been fascinated by photography. When I was in the second grade, my interest in books and reading led to a life-long interest in the Second World War, and because most books for younger audiences are illustrated, naturally those that I chose were a visual experience. In time, my father gave me my first camera, and I spent countless hours learning how exposure worked and composing images. While certain periods in my life disrupted a continuous flow, every time I returned to the medium, I continued to grow in my knowledge and familiarity with often-misunderstood details. Nevertheless, it was through these explorations that I honed my craft and expanded my skills and applications.
I slowly embraced the digital side of photography as it was not as viable as shooting film initially, but as I utilized digital cameras more, I found their place to be as important as film. The present shifts in technology are exciting, but ultimately, it is my vision, concepts, and art that make the difference between my work and another’s. I look forward to working with clients on any task and assignment, and feel that developing relationships also facilitates artistic growth.
